About the Seaview Hotel
Our aim at Seaview is to provide more
than comfortable accommodation at a reasonable price
in a relaxing, friendly environment. Goodwick Moor lies
next to the river, adjacent to our property giving a
natural home for wildlife and the facility for guests
to walk safely. We strive to create a harmonious and
restful experience for all our guests.
Our location is unique with panoramic views across
Fishguard Bay so when guests arrive from the Irish port
of Rosslare or take a restful break before the ferry
departs you can enjoy the magnificent seaviews and the
National Park countryside. We are only one minute by
car from the Irish Ferry and there are always car parking
spaces available even when we are full.
You can be sure of staying at one of the friendliest
hotels in the county. All 19 bedrooms are en-suite
and
equipped with colour T.V., hot beverage-making facilities
and many have superb seaviews, while others overlook
the beautiful marshes of Goodwick Moor with its rich
wildlife and bird activity. To help you make the most
of the fresh country air; smoking is not permitted. We provide 24 hours service. A night porter
will greet you whatever time you arrive or help you
to catch a night or early ferry. When our restaurant
is closed we will be happy to make you a sandwich even
in the middle of the night.
We strive to create a harmonious and restful experience
for all our guests. The Seaview Hotel is a safe haven
providing warmth, comfort and excellent hospitality
for all.
Sue Parry is the current owner.
Sue’s interests lie in self-healing and complementary
therapies and she has begun holding workshops at the
hotel to reflect this. A Health and He aling Day was
held in November 2002 with 29 therapists attending.
Sue hopes to host additional complementary
workshops this year. Please email for
further information or look at our Groups
and Tours page.
All workshops, seminars, meetings and conferences
are held in a relaxed and quiet environment in our
newly
refurbished function room, seating 25. This is an ideal
meeting place for all organisations local or national
for example: R.S.P.B. monthly meetings, Business club
and Marketing Club for Building Your Business are held
at the Seaview every fortnight. Recently workshops
to
help the unemployed get back to work were held at Seaview.
Last year Chwarae Teg and Planed held workshops to
encourage
women to be enterprising and start their own business.
They are continuing their workshops
this year. This idea of helping others is of prime
importance to Sue Parry and her staff.
The lounge is a comfortable place to relax whether
you are reading the paper, enjoying morning coffee or
afternoon tea or simply having a drink before an evening
meal. There are beautiful views overlooking the river
valley of Goodwick Moor, Fishguard Harbour and beach.
The Bar is located near the reception area where you
can relax and unwind after your journey or long walk
along the beach and breakwater or enjoy a drink before
sampling our home cooked food in our restful restaurant.
There are plans to construct a new marina at Fishguard
harbour in the near future. This will enable more facilities
to be on offer for guests e.g. moorings for fishing
and luxury boats, focusing on local and deep-sea fishing
and more people to enjoy the Fishguard experience.
Garden
There is a sheltered seating area at the side of the
hotel where you can enjoy a drink or sandwich or just
enjoy the sunshine and the Seaview. Access is from car
park or side of hotel.
